Switch on the extra tools your shop needs

Every shop on TwistDrops has what it needs to take pre-orders: drops, products, orders, the production list and the pickup list. An add-on is an extra tool on top of that, for a shop whose work has grown past the basics: a second place to hand orders over, or a café that orders every week. Until you switch one on, nothing of it shows in your studio’s menus, so the studio stays as simple as your shop.

Multiple pickup points is for a maker who hands orders over in more than one place, such as the shop and a market stall: a drop can be collected at several of your points, and customers choose theirs when they reserve. Pickup helpers lets you invite people who scan pickup codes and hand orders over at the points you give them, and who see nothing else of your studio. Each has its own guide with the details.

Business customers is for the cafés and shops that buy from you: mark a customer as a business, with its company name, and the price they paid last time is filled in when you make their next order. You also see what each one takes per drop. Repeat orders repeats an order on another drop, or sets up a standing order, made on every drop on the days of the week you choose. With Online payments, customers pay when they reserve, on Stripe’s page, and the money goes to your own Stripe account. Every shop has this add-on, so there’s nothing to switch on: add your tax details and connect Stripe in “Settings” → “Payments”. The Online payments guide has the details, and what it costs.

Open “Settings” and tap “Add-ons”, under “Account”. “Add-ons you can switch on” lists the ones your shop doesn’t have yet, each with what it does and a switch. Tap the switch: it saves at once, and the add-on’s pages appear in your studio straight away. If a link takes you to a page that belongs to an add-on you don’t have, the page names it and offers “Switch it on”.

“Your add-ons”, at the top of the same page, lists what your shop has, each with where it comes from: “You turned it on”, “Turned on by TwistDrops” or “On for every shop”. If one ends on a set day, its last day follows. In “Settings”, the “Add-ons” row names them all, or says “None yet”.

Tap the add-on’s switch in “Your add-ons”. Before anything changes, the studio says what stops: with Repeat orders, standing orders leave your menu and none of them becomes an order. Tap “Switch off” to confirm, or “Keep it on”. What you made with it stays: drops already published keep their pickup points, your helpers stay on your list, and you can switch it back on at any time.
